Generously season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
Add the flour to a plate or tray. Lightly coat the chicken with the flour and shake off any excess flour. Then transfer the coated chicken to a plate.
Set a large skillet or cast iron pan over medium high heat. Add 3 tbsp of oil to the pan. Once the oil is heated, add the chicken. Cook the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side. (If the chicken is browning too quickly on one side, lower the heat.) Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, pour in the sauce and decrease the heat to medium. Stir the sauce with a spoon and let it simmer for about 30 seconds.
Then add the chicken back into the pan and add the scallions. Cook the chicken in the sauce for about a minute and then remove the pan from the heat.
Serve over a warm bowl of rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately. Enjoy!
